Kommentar/Beschreibung

This course is part of the ANG-B1 module, to be taken by BA students in their second semester in combination with the lecture course OFFERED BY ME, titled “English and American Literatures and Cultures: A Historical Survey”. Please note that students MUST take the “Survey” and the “Concepts and Interpretations” courses with the SAME instructor.
This biweekly seminar seeks to introduce students to some of the salient developments in modern Anglo-American literary criticism, by taking up introductory texts that present the overviews of specific theoretical approaches and then by attempting to read literary texts with the aid of these theoretical conceptions. In other words, each of the course sessions will be based on our readings of the text(s) allotted for that particular session.
If you opt for this course, you will also need to register for the lecture course conducted by me on “English and American Literatures and Cultures: A Historical Survey”. Your performance in both the courses will be assessed via a combined written exam at the end of the semester.

  • Die Anmeldung ist möglich von 01.02.2021, 08:00 bis 25.04.2021, 23:59.
  • Es wird eine festgelegte Anzahl von Plätzen in den Veranstaltungen verteilt.
    Die Plätze in den betreffenden Veranstaltungen wurden am 08.03.2021 um 23:59 verteilt. Weitere Plätze werden evtl. über Wartelisten zur Verfügung gestellt.
  • Die Anmeldung zu maximal 1 Veranstaltungen des Anmeldesets ist erlaubt.
