Kommentar/Beschreibung

Blockcourse:

Humans and robots working and living along with each other is the current direction of many industrialized countries. Not only are intelligent programs already part of our lives, such as service or chat robots, but in the foreseeable future, we will be surrounded by care and maintenance robots. With increasing cooperation between humans and machines, as well as new forms of social interactions, like VR chats, there is a renewed research interest in digitized social interaction, as human perception is strongly influenced by the shape and movement of the interaction partner.

In this seminar, we will systematically do a literature review on current research on social interactions in VR as an accompanying literature seminar to the programming course HRI.

The main focus will be to read and summarize existing studies and to discuss them critically. Articles and instructions will be given in the beginning of August and should be prepared until September.

In a block seminar (11.10.21-15.10.21/ 10-16:00) the results of your summaries will be presented and in a small "researcher boot camp", where we are going to practice all skills that are usually not taught in the courses. This means that texts will be corrected by and with you in a peer review, posters will be presented and a presentation will be given.
